Amy Loth is a professional member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association. Amy's specialty designation with the IECA is college advising, and her subspecialty designation is international college advising.

 

These are the requirements she has met to earn professional membership of the IECA:​​

 

• Minimum of three years of experience in educational placement counseling or admissions, including a minimum of one year of independent educational consulting.

• A master’s degree in a relevant field

• Minimum of 50 students advised during the previous five years on college admission

• A minimum of 50 evaluative college campus visits during the previous five years 

• Three professional references from college admissions officers and educational counseling professionals

Professional membership with the IECA is the highest level. This distinguishes it from associate membership, which is reserved for individuals new to the independent educational consulting profession or those transitioning to the field from a school, institutional, or related position.
